FAQ

Questions clients ask first.

Not covered here? Send us a brief and a partner will reply.

01Where is DB Associates located?

Our office is in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. We act for clients across Chhattisgarh and India, and coordinate with correspondent counsel for matters abroad.

02Do you act for clients outside India?

Yes. We advise overseas companies dealing with Indian counterparties and Indian businesses trading abroad, coordinating with correspondent counsel in other jurisdictions where required.

03How are your fees structured?

Most matters are on a fixed or milestone fee agreed in writing before work begins. Ongoing advisory work can be handled on a monthly retainer.

04How long does MSME debt recovery take?

It depends on the buyer and the forum. Many matters settle after a demand notice; the MSMED Act asks the Facilitation Council to decide a reference within 90 days, though timelines vary in practice.

05Can a dispute be resolved without going to court?

Often, yes. Negotiation, mediation, conciliation and arbitration are usually faster and more private than litigation, and we consider them first.

06Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Everything you share is protected by advocate–client privilege and handled under strict internal protocols.
